Couch to 5k

As part of our Well-being Programme we will undertake a 6-week Couch to 5K Programme. The aim of the initiative is to raise awareness of the importance of including physical activity as part of your weekly schedule. Each week, participants are required to complete 3 physical activity sessions of 40 minutes.

The first week each participant will be completing the following workout for all three sessions: Brisk 5 minute walk & stretch. Then alternate 60 seconds of running and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

We are inviting Parents/Guardians and friends to partake in this school initiative, an opportunity for our whole school community to get active, remember no matter how slow you go you are still lapping everybody on the couch.

Our sessions will take place on Tuesday’s at 10:20, Wednesday at 9:00 am and Thursday’s at 2:30.
