ATU Galway Robotics VEX Competition Trail & Christmas Market Trip on Thursday the 23rd of November

Dear Parents/Guardians,

A school trip has been organised for students to attend the VEX V5 Robotics competition trial event on the 23rd of November at Atlantic Technology University(ATU), Co. Galway.

All Transition Year students are participating in this post-primary VEX Robotics Post-Primary schools’ competition, sponsored by Boston Scientific. Students will represent their school by showcasing the robot they designed, engineered and programmed for this event. Students will get the opportunity to meet all other participating schools and meet with the Irelands' leading robotics education and industry partners. Students must wear their full uniform on the day as they will be representing their school.

After the competition, students will be going to the Galway Christmas market at Eyre Square. The Christmas market consists of many food enterprise stalls, carnival games, the Ferris wheel, and local craft enterprises. Students must bring spending money (cash for the bus) for expenses, food and bus journeys.

Bus Journey Details

The students will be getting a return bus from Mountbellew in Mountbellew Square at 10:02 am and will arrive back to Mountbellew Square at 5:36 pm,please ensure timely pickup of your child after the school trip for their safety and a smooth conclusion to the event.
