MISSION STATEMENT

Coláiste an Chreagáin will endeavour to:

  • Provide a curriculum appropriate to all students in a safe and caring environment.
  • Foster a spirit of co-operation and mutual respect between students, staff and community.
  • Enable each student to reach his/her full potential by recognising the singular and unique talents of each student.
  • Promote the development of personal responsibility founded on honesty, justice and truth.

We hope to achieve our aims by recognising, developing and rewarding the inherent good in all our young people.

Our school is a vibrant educational community getting on with the business of providing quality teaching and learning.

High academic standards are ensured by the dedicated teaching team and this is reflected in our success in State Examinations.

We endeavour to provide students with opportunities and experiences that will enable them to become confident individuals equipped with the skills and knowledge they will need for their future.

Students are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities as we believe these contribute to the overall maturation process and personal development of each student.

Successes in sport are too numerous to mention, but in recent years the school has produced County titles in Senior, Junior and Juvenile Gaelic football. Students participate in public speaking and have achieved considerable success at county and regional level.

In the recent past in excess of one million euro has been spent to improve resources and refurbish the buildings. All of these developments will enhance the holistic education that we strive to provide here in Coláiste an Chreagáin.
