Coláiste an Chreagáin offer both Career Guidance and Wellbeing Support to students. The Student Support and Wellbeing approach is based on the continuum support model with provides a framework for schools to enable them to identify and respond to students’ needs in a flexible way. This process is also supported through engagement with external professionals, as required.
Coláiste an Chreagáin Student Support & Wellbeing Team offers a student support service within the school to address the emotional needs that young people can have in response to experiences such as family breakdown, bereavement, loss, family and peer relationship difficulties, anxiety and bullying. The Student Support & Wellbeing also supports staff and parents in addressing these concerns.

Student Referral
Students can self-refer or refer a peer they are concerned about by emailing a member of the Student Report and & Wellbeing Team, dropping into the Office or checking in with their Class tutor during weekly class.
Parental Referral
Parents can make referrals by contacting a member of the Student Support & Wellbeing Team and requesting that their child be seen by a Student Support staff member or by contacting the office.
The Department of Education and Skills also provides Psychologists to the School. Access to the psychological service is administered through the SEN Team. The Psychologists are available on request but are limited in their involvement as they cover all primary schools and post primary schools in the county. Parental consent is required to access this service for students who are under 18 years of age.
